Journal - Days 36 & 37 of January 2018 Whole30 (post non-gluten grains reintro)

Day after non-gluten grains reinto. I slept OK last night, a little headachey today, but I will monitor to see what it turns out to be. Mood seems to be alright, but the day really hasn't started yet. I wonder if the headache is a "hangover" from the non-gluten grains I ate yesterday. Hmm.

Day 1 Food:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, 1/2 cup butternut squash, 1/2 cup kale salad mix, Wholly Guacamole mini cup.
Lunch: Leftover zoodles and marinara with meatballs.
Dinner: Leftover heroine chicken on salad greens.

Day 2 Food:
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, 1/2 cup butternut squash, 1/2 cup kale salad mix, Wholly Guacamole mini cup.
Lunch: Leftover chili, olives, carrot sticks.
Mini-meal: DNX Bar, almonds.
Dinner: Leftover heroine chicken on salad greens with dump ranch.

I think non-gluten grains made me sad! While out shopping Saturday evening, I felt sad and disheartened that I couldn't find what I wanted (coconut butter, psyllium husks, erythritol) even though I knew that I probably wouldn't. I also felt pretty bloated and sluggish, but I know I did push how much I ate (I probably ate twice as much quinoa, and 4 times as much white rice as I would have). This is a good indication to see how much I want to eat at a meal, and how often in a week I want to eat these items. I think a sushi or a taco night once in a while might be OK, but I think I am also OK with avoiding these items as well.
